Saying ‘thanks’ to local Heroes

Our team was fortunate enough to be able to be in the community for several fundraisers and events throughout the year. We are blessed to be able to be a small part of making these fundraisers a success, and we are happy to be able to participate. In the end, when we help these organizations succeed, it helps us all succeed. The police & fie departments especially are able to do more without having to rely on added tax payments from the public. Sponsors such as us at RE/MAX Service First do what we can to raise additional awareness and help these men & women do more in our communities.

Quite a bit of the money raised goes to other organizations that assist those in need. Police organizations often donate these funds to families of officers lost in the line of duty. Fire fundraisers will often donate to their auxiliaries or to local or state burn camps – where victims of traumatic burns go to feel normal again.

The Waukesha County Police Chief’s committee, in which our own John Gscheidmeier is a member of, raises money for Waukesha County organizations such as the C.A.R.E. Center for children, the Women’s Center for adult women & families in crisis situations, and scholarships for Criminal Justice students at Waukesha County Technical College.

The Pewaukee Fire Department Auxiliary held their annual golf outing to raise additional funds needed fir department items that aren’t taxpayer-funded. These items help keep our firefighters safe and Pewaukee is John’s former fire department from years prior.

This year we participated in the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department and the West Allis Police Department’s K-9 fundraising outings. All proceeds benefit the respective K-9 organizations and fund an incredibly integral program without taxpayer dollars. John and a team also participated in the Twin Lakes Police Department K-9 outing – raising much needed funds for a small department that assists all of Kenosha county residents when needed.

Our “Service First” attitude & approach helped these organizations in 2019 and we will continue to do so in 2020 and beyond!  Help us next year raise more than in previous years!
