John C. Maxwell stated, “Students don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” This is a pretty good way of summarizing the inner fabric of most teachers.

Our founder, John Gscheidmeier, had the privilege of being a teacher for over 20 years. As a college professor John loved being in the classroom and educating students every day – it was a true honor for him. John also was a D.A.R.E. officer, School Resource Officer and was assigned to the schools in Glendale for many years.

John saw first-hand the dedication teachers give to their students not only every day they teach, but the countless hours behind the scenes preparing. Most people don’t realize that teachers spend a great deal of time, and sometimes money, preparing for their lessons outside of the classroom. It is a true example of the dedication they have to their profession and their students.

Teachers care about their students. They understand the difference they make in people’s lives. They care about making an impact in our society and the connections they make with their students. They understand that not every child or student will learn the same or at the same pace, so these extremely gifted people learn to adjust their teaching styles to accommodate all.

We owe a great deal of gratitude to our teachers – they not only prepare the next generations to lead, but also to do so with compassion and care for one another. There is no more noble of a profession than to lead others, especially in education.
